From Mexico and the Caribbean to Chile, Latin America is one of Solaracks’ priority regions. We supply distributors, EPCs and installers with roof, ground and carport mounting systems — backed by engineering calculations, third-party test reports and a Spanish-language site and documentation.
Designed to the codes your engineers use
We run project wind load calculations to ASCE 7-22 — the basis for many national codes across the Americas — as well as AS/NZS 1170.2, and provide the supporting pack that permitting and client review require: span tables, laboratory pull-out reports and material certificates, all traceable to downloadable SGS test reports.
Hurricane wind and coastal salt
Caribbean and coastal projects combine hurricane-level wind with C4–C5 salt exposure. We have delivered rooftop systems designed for 70 m/s wind, and our AL6005-T5 aluminium with A2-70 stainless fasteners achieved a class 10 rating in SGS CASS salt-spray testing, with coated roof screws passing 1,000 hours of neutral salt spray. How we select protection levels site by site is documented in the Corrosion Protection Guide (PDF).
Systems for the region
- Ground mounting — GTS structures for utility and agricultural projects (ground screw vs. concrete foundation), including solar water pumping.
- Carports — parking-lot PV for commercial and public sites.
- Tile roof and pitched roof systems for residential markets.
- Ballasted flat-roof systems for commercial and industrial concrete rooftops (ballasted vs. penetrating decision guide).
Project experience in the region
Recent work includes a 1 MW triangle-frame installation in Latin America and a 155 kW GTS ground-mount system in the Caribbean engineered for coastal conditions.
