The Cost Of A Residential Solar Panel System

If you’ve thought about going green and changing your home’s energy source, you may have decided on getting solar panels for your home. Of course, your biggest concern may be the cost. You may be wondering how much solar panels and the installation will cost you? That actually depends.

A residential solar system can have a size range of 3 to 8kW and cost between $15,000 and $40,000. Still, the overall cost of these systems – overhead, labor, parts, permitting fees and profit, have dropped tremendously in the last 10 years and can range between six and eight in many areas of the nation. It’s important to remember that the bigger a system is, the lower the cost is going to be per watt.
