A grounding (earthing) lug fixed with an M8 bolt — the small detail that keeps an array electrically safe.
- Detail: grounding lug, M8 bolt fixing
Bonding the metalwork matters
Every conductive part of a mounting system should be bonded to a continuous earth path, so a fault or a lightning surge has somewhere safe to go. A dedicated grounding lug — here an M8-bolted lug that bites through the anodized layer to make metal-to-metal contact — is how rails and modules are tied into that path. It is a required detail on compliant installs, not an optional extra. See our BOS components.
