Set-screw clamps landing on a locked-seam roof, installed to a defined torque.
- Roof: locked / standing seam
- Attachment: set-screw seam clamp
The number that decides whether it holds
A seam clamp’s published capacity assumes it is tightened to its installation torque — under-tighten and the failure mode shifts from “sheet yields” to “clamp slips,” usually at a much lower load. That is why our SGS clamp test records the torque (SR-CKZ: 2.71 kN at 15 N·m) and why site QA should verify a sample. More in our clamp capacity note and metal roof systems.
