A 25.9 kW rooftop system designed against a 70 m/s wind requirement — the top of the typhoon class. Wind pressure scales with the square of wind speed: at 70 m/s, uplift on every clamp and fixing is roughly double what a 50 m/s site sees.
Project record
- Capacity: 25.9 kW
- Design wind speed: 70 m/s
- System: Roof mounting engineered to the site wind requirement
What a 70 m/s design brief changes
At this wind class nothing is taken from catalog defaults: rail spans shorten, fixing density rises, edge and corner zones get their own spacing, and every component’s tested capacity has to cover the calculated uplift with margin. This is the engineering sequence described on our engineering page — loads first, then spans and fixings, then documentation. If your site has an extreme wind requirement, include the design wind speed in your quote request and the layout will be sized to it.
